01/30/10 We've been working hard planning for the 2010 Festival, and it's going to be a good year. We've learned a lot of lessons about how to put on such a large event, and we're looking forward to everything finally coming together for this year's Festival.- 3/21/09 Early registration is now open, and the new online system for buying tickets, registering for events, and purchasing booth space is up.
- 3/14/09 Haven't posted anything for awhile, but we've been busy. We've got committed leaders for all events but one, and the initial draft of the event schedule is currently being reviewed.
We plan to open early registration for competitions by the 1st of April.
We'll also be rolling out an updated registration system, which will make things better for everyone.
- 3/14/09 There is a monthly planning meeting for next year's Festival, open to anyone who is interested. The March meeting will be at the Irie Bean coffee house in South Austin on November 16. See our MeetUp.com listing for more information.
- 11/21/08 The Texas Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation presents the Carlson Gracie Open, December 13, 2008. The tournament is open to children and adults. Gi and no Gi. For more information, go to www.tbjjf.com.
- 11/20/08 Our first monthly open planning meeting was small, but successful. If you are interested in helping plan and put on 2009's Festival, please feel free to join us for the next one on December 14th, at the Irie Bean on South Lamar.
- 11/03/08 26Design has officially agreed to provide web design and development services for the Festival.
- 10/25/08 We've added a great new corporate sponsor! Virtual Telephone & Telegraph will be providing unlimited access to their outstanding online collaboration tool, the GeniusRoom (geniusroom.com) for Festival planning efforts.
