The Austin Martial Arts Festival includes competitive events, booths, demonstrations, and cultural performances.

NOTE: All competitors must read and abide by the General Competition rules, as well as the rules of their given competitive event.

Sparring/Combat Events

This is the 'Sparring/Combat' list that we're committing to, for this year. We will be adding Extreme Push Hands, as well (rules are undergoing revisions), and we are hoping to add a San Shou fight.

Please note that this year to help reduce confusion we experienced last time: Point Sparring is intended for all Karate and TKD competitors, and Continuous Sparring is intended for all Kungfu competitors.


Form Events

We'll have the rules for these posted as soon as we can. We'll be having Kungfu and Tai Chi form events, for sure, and we hope to have, Karate, and TKD form events, as well. Kungfu rules should be posted soon.

New this year is the Board Breaking competition. We're still getting a set of rules together for it, but those should be posted pretty soon. There will be a breaking seminar prior to the competition, as well.



Registration

Registration INCLUDES your admission - you do not need to purchase a separate admission ticket.

Competition Registration

Early registration for Competitions is open for a limited time. Early registration waives the Registration Fee ($10).

Competitive Events are $20, except for a few that are marked below as $40.



Walk-in Registration

Walk-in registration (register on the day of the Festival) is allowed, but must be completed by 8:00 am for morning events, and by 12:00 noon for afternoon events.

THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL $10 FEE FOR WALK-IN REGISTRATIONS! THIS INCLUDES ADDING OR REMOVING EVENTS!
